MUSIC BIO Kristyn "Blue" Simmons is a singer, songwriter & guitarist who started playing music in Seattle in '02 with a collective of musicians called, "Whatever Zoe". She performed solo for a fundraising event while living in St. John, USVI for a year. Back in Philly since '04, she's performed at various venues: Tritone, InFusion, Time, Bridget Foy's, outdoor events & more. Check UPCOMING EVENTS for current listings. Blue plays with various musicians, however, the "style" is generally a unique mix of rock, soul, pop and hip-hop, oftentimes with catchy hooks and lyrics that are as visceral as the sounds that eminate from her being. Her passion for Love & Life is a thread that helps bring this all to life that makes for fantastic live performances. ARTIST BIO Kristyn “Blue” Simmons performs her own original music at venues in and around the Philadelphia region. She has been writing songs for 10 years and performing them for over 6 years. Starting in ’06, she began teaching herself guitar and producing beats. A self-published author as well, Blue's autobiography, “My Love, Life” is now available internationally for purchase via her website or through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and others. Though painting is a huge passion, Blue chooses to focus her energies primarily on writing, music and film. She is what many in the art community have called a true, modern-day Renaissance woman. There are few willing to be as honest, open, provocative, political, spiritual, intellectual and sensual. There are multitudes of works still to come forth from the fountain of inspiration Blue has tapped. From this place, she drinks and lives, creating works of art to be enjoyed by the masses, with the intentions of making the world a healthier and more harmonious place for US ALL. Love ALL ways
